Daniel Woodel

Dan joined ASK in November 2021 to lead work on the platform architecture, streamlining processes and developing new functionality and features to improve the investor experience. Dan is a professional software architect and development lead with an impressive CV of lead positions. He worked on Visa’s mobile security in Silicon Valley and personally wrote the first official BBC iPlayer and BBC news apps. Having turned down a position at Facebook he became lead technical architect for the BBC news app and also led the development of many apps for financial institutions including RBS, Clydesdale, Co-operative Bank, NatWest and Yorkshire Bank. He was platform lead for Deloitte Digital on the development of a new start-up challenger bank’s app which went through a successful IPO in 2016.
