The meeting followed very robust performance figures for the sector at the end of Q3 but, despite the current success and appetite from investors, developers in the sector said they were being hit hard by increasingly onerous regulations, planning difficulties and expect the impact of the Autumn Budget to be significant. Yet, we are seeing really interesting and creative business models fuel the sector’s post-pandemic bounce back.
In November 2024 ASK hosted a roundtable discussion forum for key players in the UK hotel sector, including developers, operators, investors, funders and valuers. The group discussed the current performance of the sector, challenges and success stories.
